CIOTA Pays Courtesy Visit to Road Safety Corp Marshal

The President of the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration, CIOTA, Prince Segun Obayendo and the Registrar, Mr Rasheed Aiyelabegan, paid a courtesy visit to the Corp Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corp, FRSC, Dauda Ali Biu, at his office in Abuja on the 1st of February, 2023.

The visit is part of the ongoing commitment of the president to promote the ideals and objectives of the institute which informed the decision to seek a strategic collaboration with FRSC.

Highlights of the discussion include the establishment of CIOTA Road Marshal, which will be the first of its kind in the history of both establishments. This the President said will not only enhance the reputation the agency has enjoyed over the years as a pragmatic and result oriented organisation, it will also give its officers the opportunity to be affiliated with quality and resourceful trainings that are in line with global best practices.

Also discussed at the visit include manpower and capacity development, certification of FRSC officials, advocacy initiatives to be initiated and executed between CIOTA and FRSC among others.

The President affirmed that CIOTA is poised to offer consultancy services on issues of interests, leveraging on its extensive contacts across all modes of operations in the country. This and more he outlined as reasons the institute looks forward to embrace FRSC as a corporate member.

The Corp Marshall expressed his sincere appreciation to the gesture of the courtesy visit, citing is as a potent relationship building tool which will transform the corporate relationship between FRSC and CIOTA.

He assured the President that he and his team would give CIOTA the support it needs to ensure the aims of the visit were fully actualised.
