CIOTA Pays Courtesy Visit to National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE)
The President of the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration, (CIOTA), Prince Segun Obayendo, the National Publicity Secretary Mrs. Chinwe Uwaegbute, and the Registrar, Mr. Rasheed Aiyelabegan, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary, the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) in Abuja on the 3rd of February, 2023.
The visit is part of the ongoing commitment of the president to promote the ideals and objectives of the institute and seek broader avenues for partnership.
In his speech, the President stated that CIOTA, in the discharge of its duties, seeks collaboration with NCCE in the following areas:
- Be part of the Commission’s accreditation team for colleges that offer transportation and transport-related courses.
- Offer consultancy services to the Commission in transport-related matters.
- Liaise with the Commission’s department of transportation for registration and corporate membership with CIOTA.
On behalf of the Executive Secretary of the Commission, the Director, Special Duties, Mr. R.E Aremo congratulated the new Executive Council and wished them a successful tenure in office.
He expressed the commission’s willingness to collaborate with the Institute and looks forward to when colleges of Education will align with global trends in the transportation sector.
He assured the President and members of the Executive Council of the commission’s support for CIOTA to fulfill her mandate of regulating the transportation sector.
